TA network tackles individual producer needs

July 30, 2007:

It's the job of technical assistants (TAs) to help producers put in place the on-farm environmental improvements identified in their EFPs. However, many of the technical issues brought up by producers require solutions specific to a particular farm or ranch.

"No one TA is an expert on all subjects; that's why there is a network of them, so they can draw on a broad range of expertise to provide the best answer for each situation," says Mike Slomp, executive director of AEFP. "We want producers to understand they can get personal assistance specific to their needs."
