Triple-rinsing pesticide containers before disposal not only cleans a container of potentially dangerous chemicals, but makes good economic sense as well. "Considering the high cost of some of these products, it doesn't make any sense to dispose of containers that still have residue in them," says Jock MacIntosh, an agriculture and chemical advisor with Alberta Environment.
